Charlotte Kan started her women’s wear label in 2008. She works and lives in Rotterdam. Her designs are versatile, feminine and timeless. “I want to make versatile garments that help women transition fashionably through the various roles they have in life.”
The collection is currently made in Rotterdam in small editions. Under the project name Play&Pose she presents her collection through different collaborations and has asked bloggers and inspiring women from Rotterdam to model her designs. She is determined to make her label more sustainable step by step,
adding materials like organic cotton and keeping production local.
“The outfits I choose reflect my personal style, feminine but functional. No killer heels for me. I like to wear soft colours, but I own a lot of black garments. Most garments I picked are made by labels that are friendly to people and the planet. With my label and my wardrobe I try to make better and conscious choices and take it step by step.”
Charlotte gives us Style Insight on her relaxed style with ‘Tomorrow can wait’.
Look 1 Blossom Brunch
Soft and fresh colours combined in a casual but feminine outfit . The Salomé earrings give an elegant touch to this easy outfit. To complete the look I would wear Anaïs Anaïs by Cacharel my long time favourite. Perfect for a brunch with a friend and some errands around town.
Look 2 Pastel Picnic
This would be the outfit to wear on a relaxed sunny afternoon in the park. The Claire or Carole necklace and the sandals add some subtle sparkle without being flashy. The wooden sunglasses and hemp shopping bag add some interesting materials to the outfit…now all we need is picnic weather!
Look 3 Midnight Mixer
I love mixing blues with blacks. The simple shape of the gold Miso necklace combines well with the dark colours. For a night out I would wear a sensual and sophisticated scent like Euphoria by Calvin Klein.
